Glenisa Benchmark U28 | Lot 5 | Annual Bull & Female Sale

Glenisa Angus Bull Sale | Friday 6th Sept. 2024

BRED TO PERFORM, RAISED TO LAST

In 2024, Glenisa Angus made its mark in a big way — taking out Overall Winner in the Royal Queensland Show (Ekka) RNA Paddock to Palate Class 40 HGP-Free competition. It was our very first year exhibiting and a year we’ll never forget. The RNA’s Paddock to Palate is one of Australia’s toughest beef competitions, testing cattle right through the supply chain — from weight gain in the feedlot, to carcase yield, to eating quality on the plate. To be benchmarked against some of the best in the industry and come away on top gave us great confidence in our program and in our motto: “Bred to Perform and Raised to Last.”

And we proved it wasn’t a one-off. In 2025, Glenisa backed it up with another outstanding run of results, claiming first in Zoetis MSA Eating Quality (Class 37C), first in the Pen of 6 Carcass (Class 40B), Champion for the Highest Individual Index Score (Class 40C), Reserve Champion Carcass (Class 40B) and second overall in Class 40B Paddock to Palate.

These results reflect what we strive for — producing high-performing, profitable cattle that deliver consistency, reliability and value for commercial producers.

WHO WE ARE

Established in 1994, Glenisa Angus is owned by Ced Wise and family. The 4th generation property ‘Glenisa’, originally a stone fruit orchard and vineyard, has evolved into being the centre point of the Glenisa Angus stud and commercial operation and plays host to our Annual Bull & Female Sale.

We join 800 Angus breeders, of these 300 are our stud HBR Black Angus breeders and the balance our commercial and recipient Angus breeders. In addition to our home base ‘Glenisa’, our cattle are run on several blocks totalling 8,000 acres of semi-improved pasture in the Granite Belt and Wylie Creek region. Our grazing country consists of undulating granite and sandy loam soils. It is quite light country, however; it gives us peace of mind that our bulls are hardy enough to perform in varying commercial conditions. Our Glenisa cattle are “Bred to Perform, Raised to Last”.

We continue to use advanced reproduction techniques, including donor flushing, Embryo Transfer (ET) and Artificial Insemination (AI) to multiply our leading cattle and advance genetic gain.
